If you are facing an illness, anticipating a loss or your beloved pet has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, here at Paws Forever we understand and want to help you. Your pet is a significant part of your family and life. As with any family member, you may experience the five stages of grief-denial, anger, bargaining (such as asking yourself “what if...”), depression, and acceptance. Attending Paws Forever Support Group provides:
Support and understanding from a Pet Grief Specialist with a Master's degree in Health Sciences and Certified in Pet Loss and Grief Companioning
Fellowship with individuals who have experienced a similar loss or pet illness
Sharing a connection with others in a warm, non-judgmental environment
Learning coping skills to help you through the more difficult days
Tools to help you and your family in the grieving process
We at Paws Forever can also help individuals to understand their anticipatory grief, and loss, through teaching different coping mechanisms. This process helps people not only emotionally and mentally, but also enables wonderful memories to bring back smiles instead of tears.
